The cotton is garment-washed during finishing, a step that relaxes the fibers and takes away the stiffness of brand-new sheets. That is why they feel soft and broken-in from the very first night, and why they keep getting softer with every wash.
How do I put a comforter or insert inside the duvet cover?
Start by turning the duvet cover inside out and laying it flat on the bed with the bottom zip opening facing you. Reach inside to the top two corners, then grab the matching top corners of your comforter through the fabric. Holding those corners together, shake the cover right-side out so it falls down over the comforter, working it into place along the way. Once the insert is settled, fasten the interior snap closures at each corner to keep it from shifting, then close the concealed bottom zip. Give the whole thing a gentle shake to smooth everything out, and your bed is ready.
